Undergraduate Poster Session
Students are encouraged to present research and results of special projects in poster format. The session is scheduled for Saturday morning, concurrent with contributed talks. The abstract submission deadline is Monday, February 5, and can be submitted on the Call for Papers and Posters webpage. Math Jeopardy Competition
Teams of three or four undergraduates will compete in a mathematical version of the well-known answer-and-question game. Universities can have up to two teams competing, with a $25 registration cost per team. A Faculty Sponsor is required who can help assist with preliminary rounds of the competition.
We have closed registration for Math Jeopardy teams at this time. If you still want to enter a team, please contact Ron Taylor (rtaylor@berry.edu).
Treasure Hunt
On Thursday evening March 9th, there will be a Mathematics Treasure Hunt for students and their advisors. Students will use mathematics to solve clues and look for a “treasure.” This is a fun, non-competitive event that will give students an opportunity to meet and work with students from other colleges and universities. Check-in is between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with the event starting at 7:30 p.m. It is also greatly appreciated if math club advisors would be willing to help with this event. Graduate School and Career Fair
In this venue, students considering graduate school in mathematical sciences have opportunities to meet with representatives of various graduate programs. In addition, those seeking jobs in industry, business, or government in the mathematical sciences can meet with potential employers.
